Information Collection & Use
In order to use this Web site, you must first complete the registration form and create a user name and password. During registration you are required to give contact information (such as name and email address). We use this information to contact you about the services on our site in which you have expressed interest.
We will occasionally contact you to inform you of updates or other information relevant to your experience on the site.
PhilanTech, Inc. is the sole owner of information collected on the PhilanTech site. PhilanTech’s institutional clients are the owners of the data collected through the PhilanTrack application. PhilanTech and its institutional clients are the owners of contact information. PhilanTech will use this information only as described below. PhilanTech collects personally identifiable information from our users at several different points on our Web site.
Uses of Information
PhilanTech’s institutional customers use information collected on this site to evaluate grant applications, proposals, and reports. Personally identifiable information will be used by PhilanTech’s institutional customers for that purpose, and may be used by PhilanTech’s institutional to contact you to request additional information, notify you of a decision, or for other purposes relevant to the grant application, proposal, or reporting process. PhilanTech may use aggregate (i.e., non-personally identifying information) to analyze trends of usage of the website and to analyze overall data collected and report relevant aggregate findings to stakeholders.
PhilanTech’s institutional customers may use aggregate data and personally identifiable information in different ways. Contact the individual institutions for information on their privacy policies and uses of information.
We may provide you with the opportunity to use a “Tell-A-Friend” service to inform others of our service and your experience. If you choose to use our referral service to tell a friend about our site, we will ask you for your friend’s name and email address. We will automatically send your friend a one-time email inviting him or her to visit the site. PhilanTech stores this information for the sole purpose of sending this one-time email and tracking the success of our referral program.
Your friend may contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org to request that we remove this information from our database.
Communications from the Site
We will send you strictly service-related announcements on rare occasions when it is necessary to do so. For instance, if our service is temporarily suspended for maintenance, we might send you an email.

Our partners include our institutional customers, and we may provide aggregated information about usage trends on the site and other non-personally identifiable information.
We do not link aggregate user data with personally identifiable information.
Personally identifiable information
We do not share personally identifiable information with Third Parties. Personally identifiable information is used solely for the purpose for which it is supplied (e.g. for a grant report or a grant application). It is used by our institutional customers to make decisions about grant applications and to evaluate grant reports. Any additional use of personally identifiable information by our institutional customers is at their discretion. Please contact the institutions directly for more information on their uses of personally identifiable information beyond grant application and grant report evaluation.
We reserve the right to disclose your personally identifiable information as required by law and when we believe that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights and/or to comply with a judicial proceeding, court order, or legal process served on our Web site
We provide you the opportunity to “opt-out” of having your personally identifiable information used for certain purposes, when we ask for this information.
If you no longer wish to receive our newsletter, product and service updates, and promotional communications, you may opt-out of receiving them by following the instructions included in each newsletter or communication or by emailing us at email@example.com.
