Washington, DC. November 18, 2014. Altum, Inc., announced today that it has acquired PhilanTech, Inc. This acquisition joins two leading grants management software providers to create a robust portfolio of product offerings to meet the needs of both grantmaking and grantseeking organizations.
Both companies have provided software solutions to grantmakers—from government agencies to small foundations—for a combined 25 years. As grants software solutions proliferate, the merged company stands out in helping a wide range of organizations meet their information management needs efficiently. Bringing together both companies’ tools creates unprecedented opportunities to streamline the granting process.
“PhilanTech’s tools for both grantmakers and grantseekers are a great complement to Altum’s existing grants management solutions,” said Steve Pinchotti, Altum’s CEO. “EasyGrants has served large grantmakers, while proposalCENTRAL is the online application and review system of choice for biomedical research funders. PhilanTrack for Grantmakers now enables us to better serve small and mid-sized funders, while PhilanTrack for Grantseekers meets the needs of organizations that pursue and receive grant funding.”
Dahna Goldstein, Founder and CEO of PhilanTech, said, “We’re excited for the PhilanTrack suite of products to join Altum’s portfolio. We’ve been dedicated from the outset to helping organizations streamline the grants management process—whether they are giving or getting grants—and joining the Altum family means we’ll be able to better serve that whole spectrum of organizations.” Ms. Goldstein has joined Altum as Director of Philanthropy Solutions.
The addition of the PhilanTrack grants management tools completes Altum’s vision to provide comprehensive solutions for clients seeking to streamline their philanthropic giving, as well as those seeking to strengthen their grantseeking.
